The short, somewhat sarcastic sounding answer is “You”, bring You to your Senior Portrait Session. Let me explain what I mean and it won’t sound so smart alec. What are the things that make you who you are and make you unique? The things that describe you and tell your story. Things that show your style, your world view and what’s important to you. A Senior Session is not just about looking pretty, handsome or cool for the camera. Sure we are going to make those things happen, but what’s it’s really about is telling your story. A good photographer is, at heart, a story teller. They will spend time getting to know you so they can visually capture what you represent, what you stand for and who you are. They will make it fun and relaxing for you while making you look fantastic. If your photographer isn’t working with you to plan your shoot so that you get the most out of it by helping you decide what outfits to bring, what hobbies you have, what school activities you’re involved in, then maybe you need a new photographer.
